Lake Quannapowitt is
a large, shallow lake at the north end of the town of Wakefield. It covers 254 acres and is about 3.6 miles around. This lake is emptied by the Saugus River.

This Trail is today more than 13 miles long and was once a railroad bed.
It has a protected, specifically designated lane for pedestrians and bikes. You can take in the vista of the Charles River and the city.

You get some of the best views of the skyline of Boston and some of the smoothest cycling trails as well.
In Cambridge, Massachusetts, Memorial Drive is a parkway that runs alongside the Charles River and is named in honour of those who sacrificed their lives in World War I.
